Construction Industry KPI Report 2015

Construction Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) have long been regarded as an important tool for the construction industry. They allow construction firms to win new work and maximise their productivity, as well as target areas for improvement.

This 36-page report, produced in partnership with the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) and endorsed by the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy and Constructing Excellence, reveals a construction industry working hard to meet clients’ expectations and progressively improving its performance across a wide range of economic, social and environmental measures.

The construction industry is potentially facing a period of volatile workloads and structural change as the UK economy adapts to life outside of the EU. This will require the industry to redouble its efforts to upskill the workforce, enhance productivity and contain costs.

Based on data from thousands of projects completed during the preceding year, the Construction Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) have become a mainstay of the industry since their initial development in 1998. The 2015 Construction KPIs were collated by Glenigan from surveys of construction clients, contractors, sub-contractors and consultants, based on projects completed during 2014.
