Total construction activity the highest since Q3 2016
In the 12 months to the end of Q2 2018, £18.1 billion of commercial construction activity took place, up 7.4% on the previous quarter and 32.3% on the same time last year. Total construction activity is now the highest it’s been since Q3 2016.
New build construction activity accounted for £10.9 billion in the 12 months to Q2 2018 – roughly equal to the level seen in Q1.
