This week’s UK Construction and COVID-19 update suggests the tide is turning for some companies working in the industry. Work has now resumed on 10% of UK sites that were initially suspended at the outset of the lockdown, and a growing number of housebuilders have announced this week that work will resume on many of their sites, which will help to increase this number over the coming weeks.
More encouraging news is that the long-term planning pipeline remains firm, with only the immediate development pipeline showing signs of being impacted by current restrictions.
